Cozumel Manatee Encounter & Swim Details

Cozumel Manatee & Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park Combo Includes:

Departures: Monday-Saturday at 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 2:00pm & 3:30pm

Length: The program lasts 45-minutes (however check-in is required 30 minutes prior at the dolphin center).

Swimming with Manatee Recommendations:

• Swimsuit & towel
• Light clothes & sunglasses
• Bio-degradable sunscreen (for beach use only) & UV protective clothing
• Cash for gratuities, additional services at Chankanaab (snorkeling, snuba, scuba diving, ziplines, kayaks, spa, restaurants, lockers and much more!) & souvenirs

Children: Must be at least 3.3 feet to participate. Children between 3.3 & 3.9 feet must be accompanied by two paying adults (if more than one child in this height range, you do need at least two adults per child). Children up to 4.6 feet must be accompanied by one paying adult (if more than one child in this height range, you do need at least one adult per child). Kids 6-12 years old pay a preferential rate.
Kids over 4.6 feet are allowed to participate alone by paying an adult rate.

Cruise Ship Passengers: This activity is perfect if you're traveling with someone that isn't too keen on the dolphin center programs. They can buy their entrance to Chankanaab Park directly at the ticket booth and enjoy the beach club while the rest stay at Dolphin Discovery. The general entrance costs $23usd for adults and $16usd for children aged 4-12. If they still want to watch the rest of the family during the manatee encounter, they're welcome to do so as well, so long as they purchase their access to Chankanaab. No other fees! Also, no need to wait for the manatee program to start, you can use Chankanaab as soon as you get to the park (the park is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm). But do be mindful of your schedules, as you're needed at the dolphin center for your check-in 30 minutes prior to the program.

Restrictions: The minimum age to participate in snorkeling activities is 8 years old.

Insider Tip: Playa Mia is approximately 12-minutes south of the Puerta Maya & SSA International cruise terminals. In average, a 4-passenger cab will charge $17usd per vehicle. There's also 8-passenger taxis available for $34usd approximately, so unless you're traveling solo the best choice is to taxi to the waterpark directly.

Handicapped? The park has ramps available at different areas throughout the park and special wheelchairs are provided at the beach.

Groups: The largest number of people able to take this program at the same time is 12. If you have a larger group, you may have to take turns. Give us a call with your travel dates on hand so that we can check availability for you and help secure your spaces.

IMPORTANT!! Sunscreen (even bio-degradable) has been proven harmful the Cozumel's marine life. Please bring long-sleeve filtered UV protective clothing instead.
