You'll meet your guide at Dolphin Discovery Cozumel. After a quick briefing, it'll be time to start the fun in the water. Departures: Monday-Saturday at 1:00pm & 3:30pm
Length: Approximately 45 minutes.

Children: 3.3 ft and under are free of charge but must be accompanied by at least one paying adult per child. This also applies for children up to 3.9 feet (one adult per child). Children over 3.9 feet and up to 4.6 feet are allowed to participate alone. Children 6-12 years old pay a discounted rate. Children over 4.6 feet pay adult price.
Cruise Ship Passengers: This is a great activity for cruise passengers. Our flexible schedules fit most cruise itineraries. Chankanaab Park is 5 minutes south of the SSA International Pier (Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, etc.) and the Carnival Pier. Punta Langosta cruise guests are 13 minutes away.
An average taxi ride should cost approximately $12usd for up to 4 passengers or $24usd on larger 8 passenger vans.
Restrictions: Expecting mothers are allowed on this program up until 5 months of pregnancy after signing a liability waiver and must be accompanied by another adult. Guests with disabilities or health issues, please contact us prior to reserving and let us know of your restrictions so that we can provide you with detailed information and accommodate you as best as possible.
Insider Tip: This activity is perfect if you're traveling with someone that isn't too keen on the dolphin center programs. They can buy their entrance to Chankanaab Park directly at the ticket booth and enjoy the beach club while the rest stay at Dolphin Discovery. The general entrance costs $23usd for adults and $16usd for children aged 4-12. If they still want to watch the rest of the family during the manatee encounter, they're welcome to do so as well, so long as they purchase their access to Chankanaab. No other fees! Also, no need to wait for the manatee program to start, you can use Chankanaab as soon as you get to the park (the park is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm). But do be mindful of your schedules, as you're needed at the dolphin center for your check-in 30 minutes prior to the program.
Groups: The largest number of people able to take this program at the same time is 20. If you have a larger group, you may have to take turns. Give us a call with your travel dates on hand so that we can check availability for you and help secure your spaces.
IMPORTANT!! Sunscreen (even bio-degradable) has been proven harmful the Cozumel's marine life. Please bring long-sleeve filtered UV protective clothing instead.
